As you are aware there are several Buying Groups to choose from in the electrical wholesale sector and each one will have slightly different opportunities and benefits. As far as the IBA is concerned, we see a major strength in being a Group run by the Members for the Members. Apart from annual membership fees, which fund the IBA Staff of three personnel, all financial benefits gained from suppliers are fed back to the membership. In terms of costs, there is a one-off Joining Fee plus Annual Subscriptions at levels that we know are very competitive.

On the benefits front, every Member in the Group joins the EDA automatically, each Member currently earns annual rebates of more the double their annual membership fees and in most cases substantially more than this. With generally better invoice prices, often improved payment terms and continuous promotional activity, the financial benefits massively outweigh the costs. Whilst completely voluntary, the IBA is also proud of its social networking opportunities, with Trade shows, an annual Golf Day which includes a Golf Academy with PGA professionals, Christmas and Easter Conferences with partners are the main events available to Members. Marketing support in addition to Trade shows, include regular Promotions, a new interactive website for members plus an excellent annual Catalogue that can be partially tailored to individual Members dependent upon quantity commitments.
